Cooking Method:
- Place the sea bird's nests in a bowl and cover them with cold water. Let them soak for 2 hours.
- Place the soaked sea bird's nests in a pot and add water. The ratio of water to sea bird's nest about 1 cup of water for every 10 grams of dried sea bird's nest.
- Bring the water to a gentle simmer over low to medium heat. Avoid boiling vigorously, as this could break down the delicate texture of the nests.
- Let the sea bird's nests simmer until they become soft and translucent. The cooking time can vary based on the quality and thickness of the nests.
- If you're making a sweet soup or dessert, you can add rock sugar to taste during the cooking process. This will create a mildly sweet and fragrant dish. Once the sea bird's nests are fully cooked and have a gelatinous texture, they are ready to be served.
